Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How often should I train at Garden Grove Biomechanics?
That’s a great question, and the answer is as unique as you are! At Garden Grove Biomechanics, serving the greater Orange County and Los Angeles areas, we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. We understand that your life, goals, and physical needs are different from anyone else’s. That is why we will work together to customize a training schedule that fits seamlessly into your lifestyle and helps you achieve real, lasting results.
While some of our clients thrive with three sessions per week, others find that one or two sessions a week, or even twice a month, provides the perfect balance of support and accountability to keep them progressing on their path. The frequency of training is not what the focus is on, but rather the quality of training that one receives.
Here’s what truly matters:
- Your Goals: Are you seeking to overcome chronic pain, reclaim your mobility, enhance your athletic performance, or transform your overall fitness? Your specific goals will influence the optimal training frequency.
- Your Starting Point: We’ll assess your current fitness level, movement patterns, and any limitations to create a safe and effective plan that’s tailored just for you.
- Your Lifestyle: We’ll consider your schedule, commitments, and other factors to ensure your training plan is realistic and sustainable. We want this to be a rewarding journey, not a source of added stress.
- Your Body’s Response: Everyone responds to training differently. We’ll closely monitor your progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure you’re continually moving forward.
The most important factor is consistency and a commitment to the process. We’re here to guide you every step of the way, providing expert instruction, unwavering support, and the personalized attention you deserve.

- Myofascial Release (5-10 min): We often use techniques to release muscle tension and improve flexibility.

Do you take insurance?
No, Garden Grove Biomechanics is not in-network with any insurance providers. We understand that cost is a consideration, and we want to be completely transparent about our approach. Our specialized practice focuses on the Functional Patterns method, a cutting-edge training system that often falls outside the scope of traditional insurance coverage. This allows us to provide a truly personalized level of care that is often not achievable within the insurance-based model, which can limit the time and attention practitioners can devote to each client.
At Garden Grove Biomechanics, we believe in taking the time to thoroughly understand your unique needs and goals. We then create customized programs designed to address the root cause of your pain or movement limitations, not just the symptoms. While we don’t bill insurance directly, many of our clients see our services as a proactive investment in their long-term health, potentially preventing future problems and reducing their reliance on insurance-covered treatments down the road.
We’ve found that this approach leads to transformative results for our clients, helping them achieve lasting pain relief, improved mobility, enhanced athletic performance, and a greater overall sense of well-being. Many consider it a worthwhile investment in their quality of life.

How long does it take to see results?
Results with Garden Grove Biomechanics, using the Functional Patterns methodology, vary from person to person, as everyone comes to us with a unique history of movement patterns, physical stressors, and health conditions. Some clients notice improvements within the first few sessions, while others may need more time to experience significant changes.

What is a biomechanical assessment?
The biomechanical assessment is the first step in your journey to becoming a more functional human being. To understand the best way we can set up and modify the most pertinent exercises for you, we first need to understand your movement capabilities, namely through how you stand, walk, and run.
We record a video of you running and take pictures of your posture to understand where you are coming from, so that we can later record and snap your results later!
Do you only train in garden grove?
Our home base is our Garden Grove studio, but we’re committed to making Functional Patterns training accessible. We do offer mobile training services to clients in the Orange County and Los Angeles areas on a case-by-case basis. If you’re interested in training at your home or another location, please reach out to us to discuss your needs and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
How can you help with my chronic back pain, neck pain, etc.?

We use Functional Patterns, a holistic approach that goes beyond temporary fixes to address the underlying cause of your pain. We’ve helped many people in Orange County and Los Angeles, just like you, find lasting relief by improving their overall movement patterns.
